Walking Horse

Once again, another doodle. This one, more practice than boredom. I was working on leg movements and how they connect. I know it's still not perfect but MUCH better than my running horse from last year.

Self Portrait

Finally! I finally got one on here. Comptuter art that is. It sucks though because I had to print it out and scan it again! The blogger thing knew the difference between a picture that was scanned and those that aren't and won't take computer art. So that's why it's all light and stuff. I wish it wasn't, but until I figure out another way, this'll have to do. So anyway, this is me. This is on dragnix, but everyone suggested that I put shading so here it is with shading. I might not get another computer art up for a while cuz I don't wanna waste ink.

Ralgath the Mutated Killer Salamander

Ralgath is the winner! For those of you don't know what I'm talking about, I was trying to come up with a name for this guy. Makla came up with a good one. Thanks Makla! I give Makla FULL credit for coming up with this name! Thanks again! :D Ok. On to the pic.
If you can't tell I was SEVERELY bored. When I did the outline of it, it looked like a giant salamander(to me anyway) with wings. It at first was going to be an attempt at a Blue-Eyes White Dragon (from yu-gi-oh! for those of you that don't know) without a picture of one. I tried to see if I could try like Draco and Makla. Well the head kinda looked good, but not good enough so I gave up for now. Anyway this is a doodle too. The front hind leg (wow! that made sense) is all screwy cuz I'm still stuck on how to draw those. Also, the wings I just slapped together because I didn't feel like doing them nicely.(Aren't I bad?) So that's why they're all screwy too.

Flying Dragon

This is a doodle. I know it doesn't really look like one, but it is. The reason I doodle is if I'm bored(which I was) and to work on things I have trouble doing. In this case, wings and body angles. It originally was going to be a dragon being stabbed (not sure why. I never draw things like that but I wanted to for some reason) It was flipped the other way with the dragon head upside down and screaming. Then I decided not to and flipped it like this and did this.

Avicorn

Brand new sketch pad, brand new pictures! This was done on the first day of school this year! I did it during my study period. It originally was supposed to be just a horse, but there was so much room I added wings. Something was still missing so I added a horn. When I decided to draw the wings, it was an experiment because feathered wings and body feathers are another of my weaknesses. I'm proud of the front wing, but the back wing could use a little work. Oh, and the spirals are from my sketch pad. By the looks of it, it doesn't rip easy and I didn't want to take a chance.

Abstract Dragon

Ok. This was done last year as well. I'm not exactly sure what made me draw this. It was first done in pencil, then done over in blue pen(duh) as an experiment. It originally was a head with flames which would "cut off" the rest of the body, then I came up with this. So I erased bits of the lines that formed the head and neck and filled it in with pen. Personally, this is one of my favorites, because I almost never do drawings in pen. I also am proud of how the wings came out. The only thing that I don't really like is the tail. It was perfect at first, then I added too much blue to parts of it so I tried to balance it out. That's why the tail is more blue than the rest of the body.

Running Horse

Here's just an average running horse. There's still some bugs about drawing horses(especially moving) I have to clean out. I tried to be as accurate as I could. This is from last year (along with the orca I forgot to mention) so I'm a bit better, but the running legs I still need to work on. Something tells me that the way I have the legs is not how a horse runs. Like I said, I'm still working on that problem. ;)

Orca(Killer) Whale

Here's an orca whale, aka killer whale. Orca just sounds nicer than "killer." Yes, i know it's on lined paper but like I said, most of my art was done on lined paper. Once again it's on the back of my math homework. hehe. Orcas are one of my favorite animals along with horses and dolphins. Just a little random fact: orcas are the largest dolphins. There not whales like the humpback whale and such. So many people think that and so did I. If you don't believe me, look it up! Just the random fact of the day.

Flying Lindworm

For those of you who go to dragnix, you'll notice that this is there. I put it on here to show you what it looks like for real, not sideways like like it is on dragnix. I'm not sure why it's a lot lighter than the other one, but that's ok. If you look really closely (I know, isn't my grammar jus beautiful? NOT!!!!) you can see that it's the back of my math homework. hehe. It was old anyway and i didn't need it anymore.

Ruth the white dragon

Here's Ruth! The white dragon. This one was also copied, well not really. I used "All the Weyrs of Pern" by Anne McCaffrey as a guideline. Since the picture was a different angle, it was hard to draw. I know he looks really skinny but i tried to get his body in proprtion with his size. He is a "runt" after all. So that's why he looks too skinny. Probably is but oh well.

Mnementh the bronze

Yay! My first picture! Ok. Anyway, this one was sent into dragnix but didn't go through yet so here it is! I know this one is on lined paper, but ignore it. This was half copied from "The Dolphins of Pern" by Anne McCaffrey. I copied what was visible and improvised on what wasn't. I know it's really Gadareth, but to me, it didn't really look like him. Oh, and there was one thing i changed on the visible part. The book cover had Gadareth with little horns on his head. I took those out becuase they look stupid, not to mention they look like arrows sticking out of his head. I'll get more pictures up soon!

New Blog

Finally!!!! I got a blog! This is where my friends from dragnix can come by when the site crashes or whenever they want. This is also where I will post some of my artwork, both pencil and computer art. A warning ahead of time, some of my art will be on lined paper. The reason being is because I didn't have white paper with me plus, they were supposed to be doodles in school or whenever and wherever I get bored, but they didn't so please ignore the fact that they're on lined paper. It may take me a few days to get some pictures on here but be patient! I promise i will get some on here!
