Nestor

This is what happens when you invite a young dragonhorse to a party. They take over. This one, Nestor, loves to party. He's an adult now, but that does not mean one thing. Even as an adult he acts as if he's a college student. When he was able to fit inside buildings, he crashed parties. Young dragonhorses, in adolescence, are about the size of a horse. Oh yeah, he loves wearing sunglasses too. So do not give him any whatsoever!
This is the worst I have ever done. They're isn't even any shading. I was listening to "I like to move it" by reel to reel. I just had to draw something like this. Crappy, huh? The background sucks too.

Baby Dragon

Awwww! Isn't it cute? I love it's little feet! The back feet I admit did not come out as nice, but I thought it was cute. it only took me bout a 1/2 hour to do. Like the Trojan Horse pic, it' a lot smaller than what the scanner made it. it's maybe bout 2 or so inches tall.

Nanag Wong

This is a friend of mine, Nanag Wong. She just started up a blog the other day and wanted me to do a profile picture for her. She doesn't have a color scanner, I think she said. I tried, but it was a real pain in the butt to get mine up, but it's not letting me make a decent looking picture in the right size. Oh well. I'll just have to tell her.

Ancestor Swiftwing

All three of these pictures are of the same dragon. His name is Ancestor Swiftwing. He is known as Ancestor because of his age and wisdom. He is the oldest and one of the most respected dragons in the world. I'm the second oldest in the world. Dragons have longer life expectancy than many think. He founded my Herd. Also, he has foresight and often speaks in riddles. However, just because he founded the Herd, doesn't mean he lives with us. No one knows where he currently lives. Some say that he wonders around, exploring the world. He shows up every now and then to see how things are doing. His visits often have a significant purpose. No, we are not related. We just happen to have similar colors. His scales are more violet and lustrous than mine. My scales are more of a plain purple.
I just got the urge to draw him and I guess I got overboard and did more. I'm gonna try on paper, but I wanted color. I never tried scales like this before on a comp. The first two look closely the same, but the third one...I got this thing called "Graphire" if anyone's heard of it. It's a tablet thing you hook onto the comp. It has a wireless mouse and a pen. The pen is more mousish than penish. You hold it like a pen, but when you put the tip to the tablet, it shows up on the screen. Cool huh? Yeah, cool, but tough. It'll take getting used to. The third pic was my very first shot at it. Not the greatest. So that's why he looks totally different in that one. Oh, and the middle one, took me two days to do. I didn't have the patience in one sitting, and I know the small scales are whack but it was one of my first trys trying it.

What's That?

What does she see? A dragon? A griffin? A phoenix? Friend or foe? We'll never know. (hey! That rhymed!) Maybe it's just a plane. I never tried this angle before. It came out pretty nice, except for the back legs and the way the head is turning. Once again, I had fun with the multicolors.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Random Fire Dragon

More lined paper. ugh! Oh well. But hey, I figured out how to do scales! They were my enemy and whenever I did them, they looked nothing like scales. Sure the ones on the threstral are ok, but now I can do them on the entire body. And I'm getting better at that thumb claw thing. heehee. Sure, some of the minor details are kinda whack, like the feet (as usual) and some other things. I never did large scales on the arms and legs before so that was cool. And the wings came out nice too.

Dragonhorse Body View

Tada! Here's the full body view of the dragonhorse. Crappy, but good enough to show until I get a better one. I used the computer because I don't have the best color pencils in the world, so I used this. They are actually practically pitch black, but if I tried to show THAT, you wouldn't be able to see it. So, I made it a couple shades lighter so it was visible. The feet are very crappy, but look Makla! Thumb claws on the inside! Heehee. Yes, I know I only showed one wing but I was really lazy. Same for the poor excuse of a backround. I got the pose to try to show their cocky and comical nature. Not the best, but hey, gets the point across I hope.

Dragonhorse

I know, you're probably saying, "Lined paer again?" Well, that's because I haven't drawn these for over a year and wanted to get into again. It improved quite a bit, but still is not perfect. As you might have guessed, it's part horse, part dragon. At quick glance my friends say "nice horse" or "nice dragon" and I say "Thanks, but it's not exactly a horse(dragon)" To tell you the truth, it looks almost nothing like a horse except for maybe the head and mane. When I get a whole body picture worth showing, I'll get it here. Basically, they have a horse'like head with ears somewhat in front of their horns. They have horse manes(duh) Their necks are more built and horsish as are their legs. However the legs are built enough to hold their weight. They do have wings and claws. Their height is the most dragonish thing of all. They range from 16-18 feet in height. The height of a European dragon. And they are all black. One thing you obviously can't see is the noise they make. They make both dragon and horse noises and can speack english(that's their most often used language) Some are even gifted with speaking other human languages. They can run and rear like a horse and breath fire like a dragon.
Oh, something I forgot to mention, they are very rarely this docile looking. They are wild in personality and sometimes don't always have the nicest language. They also have an awesome sense of humor and are good at pranks. But they are the most loyal friends you can have and will stick by your side till the very end. They'll even sacrifice their life for a friend.

Female Threstral

This is one of my views of threstrals. Once again, this is my view and not the official view. Just when I was reading Hp 5, the way they descibed them made me think of them like this. The reason it says "female" is because I picture males a bit differently. I was going to draw the male and put both of them up here at the same time, but I never got around to it. This is not one of my best, so I'll see if I can make a better one.

Firered, the red dragon

This is a fanart, I guess. I made up a character a while ago. Yup, you guessed it, another Pern dragon. You'll never see the end of them. So make long story short, he's a rebel. That's why he named himself without the traditional -th ending. He became a rebal as soon as he saw everyone back away from him because he was red, also for the fact that his eyes were not faceted. No one knew why. (FYI, he's from the same clutch as Ruth) He didn't Impress and refused to be Impressed. He wanted to be free, so F'lar and Lessa released him into the wild, but had dragonriders keep an eye on him for a while, without being seen. I can go on forever about him, but that's all I'll say for now. (yes, I know, I make whacky stories.)

Winged Chinese

Pencil arts are coming, don't worry! This was an experiment. My paintbrush on my paint program lets me darken or lighten any color by coloring over it. That's how I got the hair effect. It came out pretty nice.
